The Man Who Lit the World Loved a Pigeon
Nikola Tesla gave us alternating current, radio, and the dream of wireless energy. He changed the world. But he died alone in a New York hotel room in 1943.
Every day, he walked to the parks of Manhattan to feed the pigeons. Among thousands, there was one white pigeon with light gray tips on her wings.
"I loved that pigeon as a man loves a woman, and she loved me. When she died, a light came from her eyes — brighter than any lamp I had ever created."
She never had a name. Until now.
Her name is BELA — Serbian for "white."
